Moroccan Tea Tray Makeover

You take a cheap, boring old tea tray...

Paint several coats of metallic (acrylic) paint on it. I used purple....

Use a stencil in a nice contrasting metallic paint: 

Using some pretty scrapbooking adhesive bead strips, stick them around the edge (can use matching or contrasting colors!)

Outline the stencil with a good color to make it pop out. I used a calligraphy pen in metallic gold.

Here you are!

It's a good idea to top it off with about three coats of clear poly, to protect the paint.
